Unless of course, you happen to be blind.

Year: 1995
Album: Something To Remember

Here's one I was looking for earlier in the week but came up short. Apparently I didn't look hard enough because faithful follower Phil The Fan noticed my glaring omission, found the link, and promptly sent it in my direction.

I knew the song had a video, but forgot what it was about. Phil also reminded me that this was the sequel to "Take A Bow," which I recognized as soon as I saw the matador.

"You'll See"

12.31.2008

What will you do if I don't?

Year: 1996
Album: Evita (OST)

Speaking of ballads, this single led her releases from a movie musical that was not exactly full of radio-friendly material.

"You Must Love Me"

Love also forgot to leave a forwarding address.

Year: 1995
Album: Something To Remember (The Ballads)

In lieu of your standard greatest hits package, Madge chose to release a hits album of entirely ballads in the middle of the decade, feeling like some of them never got the attention they deserved.

She released this one, but it still didn't get much attention.

"Love Don't Live Here Anymore"

It's hard to forget.

Year: 1994
Album: With Honors (OST)

Sometimes the best songs are the ones that aren't ballads, but you still can't dance to them. (Or bang your head to them, Crickets.) Like this quiet little surprise from a movie that nobody ever heard of.

"I'll Remember"

That's not where I wanted you to put the thermometer.

Year: 1993
Album: Erotica

Kind of rare for Madonna to release a video for a song that doesn't go to radio.

Even more rare for Madonna to record a remake (stop throwing those American Pies in my face, thank you.)

"Fever"

Here it comes again.

Year: 1993
Album: Erotica

We now move into the part of the show that I like to affectionately call "Let's play the rest of the Madonna videos."

And after 16 of them so far, had to believe I haven't been tempted to play this one yet. Maybe not her best single, but as far as videos go it's up there with her visual best.

"Rain"

She lies.

Year: 1991
Album: Crazy World

"Don't Believe Her"

No longer a girl.

Year: 1993
Album: Face The Heat

"Woman"

If it was black it would have been a crow.

Year: 1995
Album: Live Bites

"White Dove"

Yours, mine, and ours.

Year: 1996
Album: Pure Instinct

I even saw this band in concert in the year this came out, but didn't know there was an album behind it.

"You And I"

I have a halo collection.

Year: 1991
Album: Crazy World

This band recorded consistently throughout the decade, but this is the only album I ever heard anything from. Gods and YouTube willing, maybe I'm about to find out about the other stuff.

"Send Me An Angel"

Slimy bastard alert.

Year: 1997
Album: Batman And Robin (OST)

I have nothing good to say about this artist. His music is crappy enough, but toss in the fact that he once married a 15 year-old, beat the crap out of at least one of his other wives, and later went to trial for statutory rape charges that he has yet to serve any time for, I'm thinking that despite him having about 20 more crappy videos I could play, I'll stop with this one.

"Gotham City"

Suddenly I'm craving pizza.

Year: 1999
Album: Believe

Not my favorite song from this album, but the mere fact that she was able to release 4 singles was celebration enough.

"Dove L'Amore"

The art of compromise.

Year: 1999
Album: Believe

She does put on a good live show. And she seems to enjoy touring too, as I believe her farewell tour is still playing somewhere.

"All Or Nothing"

Better get a chisel.

Year: 1990
Album: Heart Of Stone

More Cher. I'm sorry, I just think that when she gets herself into the studio to record something, what comes out is good. Whether it be disco-club-pop, sappy ballads, or the rock-edged stuff from her late 80's efforts.

Like this one.
